Job Summary

Euronews is seeking an ambitious, results-oriented Business Development Manager with expertise in Public Affairs Partnerships to join our growing sales team in Brussels. This full-time, office-based role — with occasional travel across Europe — offers an exciting opportunity to drive revenue growth and build strategic partnerships within the Brussels advocacy sector and beyond. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Commercial Growth: Take a leading role in generating revenue within the public affairs sector, contributing to Euronews' commercial success through innovative media and event solutions.
  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Independently manage front-line sales and key client relationships.
  • Client Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders across corporations, industry associations, consultancies, and non-profits, often starting from scratch or using your contact book, while acting as a trusted advisor on integrated media and event strategies.
  • Creative Campaign Development: Design and oversee impactful public affairs campaigns, blending TV, digital content, newsletters, video products, and on-ground activations tailored to client needs.
  • Market Expansion: Identify new commercial opportunities and expand Euronews' brand presence in the Brussels advocacy market and beyond.
  • Event & Partnership Innovation: Develop bespoke event solutions and sponsorship opportunities, positioning Euronews as a preferred partner for high-impact, multi-channel advocacy campaigns.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless campaign delivery and consistent client satisfaction.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitive trends, industry events, and evolving public affairs landscapes to inform sales strategy and keep Euronews ahead of the curve.  

Ideal Candidate

The successful Business Development Manager will:

  • Bring Proven Expertise: Have 5+ years of experience in consultative sales, partnership development, or key account management.
  • Deliver Commercial Success: Demonstrate a strong track record of securing new business, achieving revenue targets, and presenting compelling, strategic sales pitches.
  • Understand the EU Landscape: Possess expert knowledge of the EU legislative and policy environment, essential for crafting tailored, high-impact public affairs solutions.
  • Be a Market Leader: Maintain a deep understanding of Brussels’ events calendar, competitive offerings, and the broader EU advocacy space.
  • Represent Euronews with Authority: Build Euronews’ visibility by attending networking events and industry conferences — reinforcing our credibility as a trusted media partner.
  • Leverage an Established Network: Bring an existing EU public affairs network to accelerate client engagement and partnership development.
  • Exhibit Drive and Adaptability: Be an energetic self-starter with a collaborative mindset, adept at coordinating across teams and handling fast-paced, high-volume sales environments.
  • Hold Strong Credentials: Possess a university degree and be fluent in both written and spoken English; proficiency in French and/or other languages is a plus.
