Overall mission :
 
The Video Editor is responsible for the technical and artistic quality of the editing of the assigned programs. They work in close collaboration with the program's editorial manager. 

They will play a key role and ensure the technical and artistic quality of multimedia audiovisual productions (web, TV magazines, news stories, podcasts, etc.). They will collaborate with editorial managers under the supervision of the Editor-in-Chief to produce cohesive and engaging content that meets editorial expectations and deadlines.

For each edit, the viedo editor ensures:
  • Preparation with editorial managers : reviewing and selecting rushes, searching for complementary images, developing the editing plan. 
  • Final editing: ensuring technical and artistic quality while best respecting production deadlines. 
  • Creating various copies up to the final copy for broadcast or digital distribution. 
  • Accurate production tracking using Dalet. 
Production and Editing:
  • Ensure the editing and post-production of content in accordance with defined missions, deadlines, and workflows. 
  • Be responsible for the technical and artistic quality of projects. 
  • Develop innovative solutions to meet the specific needs of productions. 
  • Participate in the integration and use of new tools or working methods. 
Technological Contribution:
  • Propose adapted and innovative technological solutions in terms of equipment. 
  • Participate in first-level maintenance and monitor the evolution of equipment. 
Collaboration and Training:
  • Train and support new collaborators, interns, or other team members. 
  • Participate in training sessions to stimulate personal professional development. 
Desired skills and education: 

Required Technical Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Bac+2) in Audiovisual Techniques (BTS or similar). 
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in editing various types of content (news, TV magazines, etc.) and 6 months in an audiovisual production environment.   
  • Tools and Software
    • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop. 
    • Expertise in audio mixing and knowledge of TV workflows. 
    • Familiarity with the Dalet environment and basic knowledge of special effects. 
  • Languages:
    • French (C1-C2), English (B2 minimum). 
    • Proficiency in additional languages (Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, or Hungarian) is a plus. 
  • General Knowledge: Understanding of usage rights, sound recording, current events, and audiovisual production codes.

Contract Details: 
  • Location: Brussels 
  • Contract: Fixed term,Full-time, flexible hours including nights and weekends 
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • End date: 6th of october 2025
  • Schedule: Shift work from Monday to Sunday, including potential night shifts.
