Job summary

To support the organization, production and broadcasting of the news and current affairs programs. Under the producer’s direction, the Booker identifies, engages and organizes the guests process scheduled to contribute to a program. The work is based mainly in the central newsroom.

The Booker reports to the Executive Producer of the assigned program and to the Head of Europe Desk for the overall needs of the newsroom.

 

Key Responsibilities

• To organize interviews for current affairs programs, as assigned
• To identify and schedule guests, including political figures, national and international journalists, experts, specialists in various fields (politics, global affairs, economy, security, social affairs, health, culture, ).
• To perform pre-interviews
• To set up the material resources for the interviews
• To organize the guests’ arrivals or the guests’ remote connection to the program in coordination with the producers and the production coordinators

 

Your profile

 

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in international media, ideally broadcasting, including organizing guest

In-depth knowledge of television and digital production, social media platforms

• Good knowledge of the news production systems (Dalet, gallery workflows, video connections methods)
• Fluent in English and French
• Excellent general knowledge
• Excellent communication skills (telephone, email, social media
• Organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure, to foresee and prepare for potential

• Location: Brussels
