HR BUSINESS PARTNER - EURONEWS BRUSSELS
In a context of transformation within the Belgian entity, you are responsible for implementing the Group’s Human Resources policy and strategy, to which you contribute directly. Your role is part of a continuous improvement approach, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations (for which you are accountable) and internal procedures.
You manage the local HR team and play a key role in supporting employees, overseeing personnel administration and payroll, and improving the working environment for the Belgian entity (approximately 100 employees).
You also act as a trusted advisor and influencer to operational managers—particularly the Editorial Management—supporting them in people management, talent development, and the implementation of HR best practices.
You report directly to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Euronews Group, based in Lyon and regularly present in Brussels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Personnel administration: employment contracts, compliance with Belgian labour and social legislation, employee support; legal monitoring of collective agreements applicable to the audiovisual sector (Joint Committee 227).
• Supervision of payroll administration and personnel management (HRIS, working time tracking, onboarding and offboarding, social declarations, etc.).
• HR reporting (compensation, leave, training, absenteeism, etc.).
• Definition of the training plan: identification of training needs and implementation of the skills development plan for the Belgian entity, in coordination with the Group Training Manager.
• Escalation of recruitment needs to the Talent Acquisition department.
• Monitoring and implementation of performance evaluation processes.
• Contribution to talent management and internal mobility projects, promoting talent identification, skills acquisition, and career development.
• Contribution to a positive working atmosphere by fostering employee engagement and team spirit within the Brussels office.
• Active, confidential listening to employees, ensuring discretion, accuracy, and appropriate handling of sensitive information.
Management responsibilities
• Line management of three HR Officers, including planning and workload organization.
• Training and communication regarding internal and external developments.
• Organization and prioritization of team activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Technical Skills
• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Human Resources, Social Law, Labour Law, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within an international and transformational environment.
• Previous team management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian labour and social legislation.
• Proven experience in personnel administration and payroll management.
• Ability to coordinate HR development activities (recruitment, training, talent management) with the Group HR Development team.
• English: minimum C1 level, written and spoken.
• French: C2 level, written and spoken.
• Any additional European language is an asset.
• Proficiency in standard IT tools.
• Experience in the media/audiovisual sector is an advantage.

CONTRACTUAL INFORMATION
• Location: Brussels, Rue de la Loi.
• Contract type: Permanent contract (CDI).
• Freelance profiles may also be considered for a short-term transition assignment.
