Job summary :

The Senior Events Manager will play a central role in the planning, development and delivery of a high-profile, editorially led and commercially driven portfolio of events across Brussels, key EU capitals, and across geographies globally, combining strong editorial instincts with a clear focus on audience engagement, commercial partnership value, revenue impact and premium event execution. 

Based in Brussels, this is a senior, hands-on role within the Events Team, designed for a seasoned events professional who can operate confidently across content, commercial framing, and live delivery. The role contributes directly to shaping and executing flagship summits, policy forums, debates, executive roundtables, and bespoke sponsored client activations, while maintaining high editorial and production standards across all formats. 

Working closely with the Business Development Director, Public Affairs Partnerships, the Senior Events Manager helps translate strategic and commercial objectives into compelling event formats and high-quality live experiences. The role acts as a senior reference point while remaining fully embedded in day-to-day production and execution. 

Key responsabilites :

• Support the Business Development Director, Public Affairs Partnerships in drafting and delivering the overall events strategy across Brussels and EU capitals
• Take ownership of the full event lifecycle — from concept development, commercial framing, and programme design through to on-site execution and post-event evaluation
• Contribute to the development of event content, including agenda architecture, narrative framing, session design, and speaker flow across multiple formats
• Work closely with Sales, Trade Marketing, Editorial, and client teams to ensure commercial partnerships are thoughtfully integrated into event formats and delivery while maintaining strong editorial standards
• Act as a key delivery partner for sponsors and commercial stakeholders, ensuring partnerships are delivered through high-quality event experiences aligned with editorial integrity and audience value
• Drive senior-level speaker engagement and curation, building and maintaining relationships across EU institutions, corporate leadership, policy communities, NGOs, and industry experts
• Play a hands-on role in the delivery of priority events, including on-site leadership responsibilities where required, ensuring seamless execution and premium stakeholder experience
• Oversee the preparation of key event materials including agendas, run-of-show documents, briefing packs, and speaker communications
• Act as a senior quality and consistency checkpoint within the team
• Contribute to the evolution of commercial event formats, identifying opportunities to enhance sponsorship value, audience engagement, and scalable revenue models
• Work with the Business Development Director on feasibility, budgeting inputs, and commercial potential of new and existing event concepts
• Support post-event performance analysis, including sponsor feedback, audience engagement, and commercial outcomes, contributing to continuous optimisation of the portfolio
• Remain fully operational and delivery-focused during peak event periods, actively contributing across content, logistics, and on-site execution as needed

Ideal Candidate :

The successful candidate will have: 

• 7–10+ years of experience in events, media-led conferences, sponsorship-driven forums, or B2B live experiences, ideally within Brussels or EU-facing environments
• Strong all-round events capability, combining content development, commercial awareness, and hands-on delivery experience
• Proven track record in delivering complex, high-profile events from concept through to execution
• Demonstrated ability to operate successfully within commercially driven event environments while maintaining strong editorial quality and audience relevance
• Strong experience working with sales teams, sponsors, and commercial partners in event environments
• Strong understanding of EU institutional, policy, and corporate stakeholder ecosystems
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, revenue-driven environments with multiple concurrent priorities
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior executives and institutional figures
• Strong organisational discipline, attention to detail, and commitment to delivery excellence
• High level of autonomy combined with strong team collaboration mindset
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Fluent in English; additional EU language (e.g. French) is an advantage

Other information :

• Based in Brussels, with occasional travel across Europe
• This is a senior, hands-on role with no direct line management responsibilities, but with significant influence across content, delivery, and commercial execution
