General Mission

As part of our growing Belgian entity, you will be responsible for implementing and contributing to the Human Resources policy and strategy of the Euronews Group. Your role will focus on continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations (which you will oversee) and internal procedures.

You will manage the local HR team and play a key role in supporting employees, overseeing administrative HR and payroll management, and enhancing the work environment for the Belgian office (approximately 100 employees).

Additionally, you will act as a trusted advisor and influence operational managers, particularly within the Editorial Directorate, supporting them in team management, talent development, and the implementation of HR best practices.

You will report directly to the Chief People Officer, based in Lyon and frequently present in Brussels.


Key responsibilities:

  • Employee administration management: Employment contracts, compliance with labor legislation, employee support, and legal monitoring related to the audiovisual sector (CP 227).

  • Supervision of payroll and personnel administration: HRIS management, working time tracking, employee onboarding/offboarding, social declarations, etc.

  • HR reporting: Compensation, leave, training, absenteeism, etc.

  • Training & development: Identifying training needs and implementing the skills development plan in coordination with the Training Manager.

  • Recruitment coordination: Identifying hiring needs and liaising with the Talent Acquisition department.

  • Performance management: Overseeing employee evaluations and career development processes.

  • Talent management & internal mobility: Promoting talent identification, skills development, and career progression.

  • Workplace culture: Maintaining a positive work atmosphere, strengthening employee motivation, and fostering team spirit within the office.

  • Employee relations: Providing active and confidential support to colleagues while ensuring discretion, accuracy, and proper communication of information.

  • Team management:

    • Supervising the HR & planning team (3 employees).

    • Training and informing staff about internal and external developments.

    • Organizing and planning workload distribution.


Qualifications and skills required: 

Key Competencies:

  • Education: Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Human Resources, Social Law, Labor Law, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role within an international and transformational context.

  • Team management experience is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of Belgian labor legislation.

  • Experience in HR administration and payroll management.

  • Ability to coordinate HR development (recruitment, training, talent management) with the corporate HR team.

  • Languages:

    • French: C2 level (written and spoken).

    • English: Minimum C1 level (written and spoken).

    • Any additional European language is a plus.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in standard HR software and IT tools.

  • Knowledge of the media/audiovisual sector is an advantage.

Contract details

  • Location: Brussels, near the European Commission.

  • Contract Type: Permanent (CDI).

  • Working Hours: Full-time.

  • Start Date: Q2 2025.
