In 2016, Euronews launched Africanews, the first pan-African multilingual news channel. Euronews also offers its expertise worldwide: in Europe with its affiliate channels Euronews Bosnia, Euronews Georgia, Euronews Albania, Euronews Serbia, Euronews Romania, Euronews Bulgaria and Euronews Montenegro bringing the total number of languages covered by Euronews to twenty. 

Euronews has launched a production bureau in Tashkent, Uzbekistan which produces a variety of content, including several shows focused on heritage, culture, business, and regional personalities.

Overall mission

The International Producer performs a crucial role in the bureau and is in charge with the overall production process of different shows from planning to production, including field production all the way to anchoring and broadcasting. The International Producer will also take on anchoring responsibilities and will present one of the shows. 

The Senior Producer / Anchor will report hierarchically to the local Bureau Chief and functionally to Euronews Central Newsroom. 

Main responsibilities

The International Producer will be a key part of the Tashkent team, and their role will be to: 

  • Strengthen the focus on multi-country coordination (Central Asia + Qatar), ensuring alignment with regional production workflows;  
  • Clarify responsibilities related to field production in complex environments, including logistics and resource management; 
  • Enhance the scope around stakeholder and client interaction, which is a key component of operations in Uzbekistan and the wider region; 
  • Add emphasis on multilingual capabilities and on-air responsibilities, given the nature of our content and audience; 
  • Further detailed quality control, editorial compliance, and coordination with headquarters and regional offices to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Activities
  • Pre-Production: Work closely with the international editorial management and local/international show production teams to develop creative concepts, editorial angles, shooting scripts, and detailed production plans. Manage daily operations, resource allocation (cameramen, editors, fixers, stringers), and ensure all assignments are delivered to Euronews’ high editorial and technical standards. 
  • Field Production: Plan and oversee on-location shoots across Uzbekistan, including logistics, interview coordination, and visual storytelling. Ensure high production quality in the field under sometimes challenging conditions. 
  • Post-Production: Supervise and participate in editing, graphics creation, voice-overs, music selection, and final packaging of television packages, digital videos, and social media content. Deliver ready-to-air and ready-to-publish material on time. 
  • Quality Control & Training: Perform thorough script editing and subbing, fact-checking, and final quality review of all content before broadcast or publication. Maintain strict compliance with Euronews editorial guidelines, accuracy, and impartiality standards.  
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Support and mentor junior team members, contribute to team meetings, share experience and assist in general operations and special projects as needed. 
  • On-Air Presentation: Regularly anchor and present a flagship show in English in a clear, confident, professional, and engaging style that meets Euronews on-air standards. Prepare and deliver live and recorded segments, ad-libs, and stand-ups when required. 
  • Interviewing: Conduct high-level interviews (in English, Russian, and Uzbek) with senior officials, business leaders, cultural figures, and experts, ensuring journalistic depth and editorial balance. 
  • Forward Planning: Collaborate with the European headquarters and the other regional offices to create monthly and weekly production plans, identify upcoming events, anniversaries and relevant stories. 
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with Uzbek partners. Handle partner briefings, feedback, and ensure smooth communication throughout the production process. 
  • Problem Solving & Flexibility: Quickly identify and resolve editorial, technical, or logistical issues. Demonstrate a proactive, solution-oriented mindset in a dynamic news environment. 


Skills

  • Education level required: 4/5 years’ higher education  
  • Language skills: excellent command and professional practice of English and Uzbek (near native level). Any additional “Euronews” language is a plus. 
  • Experience in digital content production and storytelling, including on social media  
  • Track record in producing high quality content 
  • Exceptional ability in copywriting and editing  
  • Experience in anchoring / presenting ideally in English and accustomed to working within a multicultural and multilingual setting 
  • Excellent eye for a story and good interview skills 
  • Broad general knowledge allowing him/her to cover a variety of topics 
  • Great knowledge and great interest for Uzbekistan and the CIS region 
  • Well-connected in the Region and active local network in the production industry  
  • Able to understand Euronews processes, constraints, and production deadlines 
  • Knowledge of euronews.com and social platforms important  
  • Very good digital culture and fluency in the use of technology and web design.
