OVERALL MISSION :

The Production Manager is hierarchically attached to a Chief Editor. The position is attached to the support of the Central Newsroom in Brussels or within a language bureau.

He/she is responsible for the administrative, technical, and financial follow-up of Euronews productions within the budgetary framework defined with the financial management and the management control. He/she coordinates and ensures the operational follow-up of productions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

He/she is responsible for:

Organizing missions (establishment and settlement of production quotes, roadmaps, purchase orders, mission orders)
Monitoring costs and coordination with management control
Monitoring "deliverables" within the contracts between Euronews and its clients/partners • Monitoring image and music rights (archive orders, etc.)
Establishment of intermittent contracts and freelance service providers
Management of outsourced production companies
Organising and monitoring production activities and schedules in response to editorial requirements.
Organising and coordinating shoots, establishing production quotes
Drawing up various production estimates and booking the service providers needed to carry out assignments.
Management of operational logistics and administrative constraints relating to filming (location scouting, necessary authorisations and accreditations, invoicing, resources, etc.)
Coordination of production with the various departments
Adapting workflows as required
Monitoring costs and coordinating with management control.
Monitoring deliverables under contracts between Euronews and its clients/partners
Monitoring image and music rights (archive orders, etc.)
Drawing up freelance contracts
Ensuring compliance with current health and safety measures
Exchanging best practice and optimising processes with production managers / production coordinators in Lyon.

Technical Skills

Required education level: Bachelor's degree (BTS audio-visual Production Management option)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in audiovisual production for the senior
Sufficient knowledge of shooting and editing equipment
Rapid understanding and integration of Euronews' organization and workfllows
General knowledge of the audio-visual industry
Knowledge of the news world and environment
Linguistic knowledge for Brussels: excellent mastery of written and spoken French (C1-C2 level) and a very good level of written and spoken English (B2-C1 level)

CONTRACT INFORMATION :

Place of work: Brussels
Contract type: Permanent contract under local law
Working hours: Monday to Friday, full-time.
Flexibility required: night and weekend work possible.
Contract start date: as soon as possible.
