Euronews will launch an editorial bureau in Astana, Kazakhstan which will produce a variety of current affairs content, including several shows focused on heritage, culture, business and regional personalities as well as news coverage. These programs, produced locally, are intended for a global audience and for a comprehensive view of Central Asia and Kazakhstan.

OVERALL MISSION
As part of our new office, we are looking for a Production Manager.
The production Manager will make sure the shows are produced safely, cost-effectively, and on time and that, he/she meets the required quality standards. The Production manager will oversee the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The Production Manager ‘s role will be to:
- Plan, schedule, direct and execute the production activities for our Kazakhstan based shows, several staff and equipment
- Manage the production team (production assistant, cameraman, editor)
- Organise and monitor production activities and schedules in response to editorial requirements.
- Ensure all shows/productions are completed on time and to budget and that quality standards and targets are met
- Coordinate all teams in Kazakhstan
- Manage the production budget, establish a financial follow up for each show and all expenses
- Create production schedules and delivery schedules for the year
- Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed
- Ensure that health and safety guidelines are always followed
- Make sure the quality standards are respected
- Handle logistics: equipment, book transport, accommodation, freelance staff, filming permits
- Organize filming locations working alongside the show producers/researchers in Kazakhstan and elsewhere.
- Manage the post-production workflow alongside the production team in Lyon, in particular organising a workflow for the dubbing and subtitling of shows.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Skills
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position
- Relevant experience and contacts in Kazakhstan
- Planning, negotiation and organization skills to be able to run and monitor the production process
- Familiarity with production equipment and software.
- Ability to manage production schedules and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for tracking expenses and planning.
- Language skills: Fluent in Kazakh and English (C2 level). Proficiency in Russian is a plus.

- Work under pressure and multitask
- Handle long hours on set, standing for extended periods, and occasionally moving heavy equipment or set pieces.
- Work in a logical, systematic manner
- Have a keen eye for details to ensure all aspects of production run smoothly and nothing is overlooked.
- Forward planning and production timeline creation experience essential
- Be flexible to work varied hours, including weekends, early mornings, or late evenings as needed for production schedules.
- Be a problem-solver: Quick thinking and the ability to address issues that arise during production (staff or equipment-related problems)

- Location: Astana, Kazakhstan
- Working hours: Full-time, from Monday to Friday
- Flexibility required: weekend and evening work can be required
- Contract start date: December 2024 (to be confirmed)
