Euronews launched its Doha bureau in 2021 in partnership with Qatar Media City.  The multi-cultural bureau is a regional hub that films original content and tells stories from across the Middle East and Asia. The Euronews Academy welcomes university students and graduates keen to have a hands-on working experience within an international channel.

Context:

Euronews Travel is Euronews’ new global initiative dedicated to inspiring and informing audiences about the world of travel. With a focus on sustainability, cultural exploration, and immersive storytelling, the travel hub aims to become a leading source for travel enthusiasts worldwide.

We are seeking a dynamic Content Manager to lead the content policy and management for the Euronews Travel channel. This role is pivotal in producing news pieces, shaping the channel's programming grid, coordinating with technical partners, and ensuring content aligns with audience interests and market trends.


Main responsibilities:

  • Manage the Travel channel's programming grid, ensuring a balanced mix of content that aligns with editorial strategy.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day production and output of the Travel vertical, ensuring the relevancy, consistency, and performance of the content.
  • Coordinate with the teams and content available to implement and adjust the programming schedule as needed.
  • Collaborate with editorial teams to provide content recommendations based on audience data and market trends.
  • Identify opportunities for new content formats and series that resonate with target audiences.
  • Aggregate and analyze data on media consumption.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Doha office and technical providers for content management systems.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to study competitor programming grids and identify opportunities for differentiation.
  • Coordinate with studios for asset creation, ensuring consistency in media look and feel.
  • Collaborate daily with Editorial, Operations, Localization, and Marketing departments to ensure cohesive content strategies.


Your profile:

Prerequisites

  • 3 to 5 years of higher education in Journalism, media studies or equivalent
  • A first experience in a news media outlet with a multimedia approach 
  • Any additional experience or curriculum in media communications or marketing is highly appreciated.

Hard skills

  • Excellent command of English (C1 level). Any additional language is highly appreciated.
  • Deep knowledge of digital storytelling and production as well as real time digital performance and audience analysis (Chartbeat, Adobe Analytics, etc.).
  • Optimal knowledge of legal and industry compliance of all published/broadcast content, respect of video copyrights, industry standards, privacy.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret audience data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and broadcast scheduling tools.
  • A solid understanding of and great passion for regional, European and world news.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Impeccable communication and interpersonal skills, with diverse team members, external partners, and audiences.

Soft skills

  • Good stress management in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Solid understanding of Euronews' objectives and operations.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in the face of unforeseen challenges.
  • Willing to travel to where events are taking place and be capable of covering their development on the ground.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling and audience engagement.
  • Proactive and adaptable to changing market dynamics.


Contract information:

  • Location: Doha, with permanent contact with editorial offices and the headquarters of Euronews
  • Contract: Internship / junior contract
  • Schedule: Full time
