Context:
The news journalist produces, by editing and scripting, the assigned stories at the highest editorial and production standards, with the full respect of Euronews editorial values, principles and guidelines as well as operational processes. The journalist follows, identifies, researches, devises the assigned subjects and/or stories, then selecting footage, gathering elements (video, photos, graphics, phone calls, quotes etc., …), editing and writing the stories for the digital platforms and /or television.
Main responsibilities:
- Continuously explores and monitors the bureau’s area of content, identifying and proposing competitive stories, angles, elements of coverage, proposing a variety of content to the senior journalist and the managing editor.
- Identifies stories and proposes coverage, prepares stories, angles of coverage, searches for documentation, checks footage rights, edits packages.
- Searches, identifies, and books guests for stories, telephone or on-camera interviews, quotes, or digital interaction.
- Conducts assigned interviews, live and as-live broadcasts, reporting from mobile devices, live blog on digital.
Prerequisites:
- 4 or 5 years of higher education in Journalism, a journalist qualification or equivalent
- Strong experience as a multimedia (digital and TV) journalist in a news media outlet and experience in working with cameramen and producers
Hard skills
- Excellent command of English (C1 level). Any additional language is highly appreciated.
- Extensive general knowledge enabling the Journalist to cover diverse stories
- Excellent writing and oral abilities
- A solid understanding of and great passion for regional, European and world news.
- Deep knowledge of digital storytelling and production as well as real time digital performance and audience analysis (Chartbeat, Adobe Analytics, etc).
- Optimal knowledge of legal and industry compliance of all published/ broadcast content, respect of video copyrights, industry standards, privacy.

- Proactive and demonstrates good stress management in a fast-paced working environment
- Solid understanding of Euronews' objectives and operations
- Active on social media both for information gathering and communication purposes.

- Demonstrate impeccable professional ethics and discretion in handling confidential information
Contract information:
- Location: Doha, with permanent contact with editorial offices and the headquarters of Euronews
- Contract: Fixed-term
- Starting date: October 2025
