Background:

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented and solutions-driven Regional HR and Finance Coordinator to support our growing operations across the region, to be based in our new office in Baku. This is a critical bridging role between the regional offices and Euronews headquarters, ensuring seamless, compliant and efficient HR and financial management in a multi-country environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate financial oversight across regional offices, including monitoring expenditures, verification of significant contracts and ensuring compliance with Euronews financial policies and budgeting standards.
• Support regional offices in financial planning, forecasting, resource allocation and cost optimization.
• Coordinate payroll processes across all countries of operation, ensuring timely and accurate payments and full compliance with national labor and tax legislation.
• Oversee the full cycle of employment contracts: preparation, review, negotiation and archiving, ensuring consistency with Euronews policies and local labor laws.
• Monitor implementation of HR procedures (leave management, personnel records, disciplinary processes, onboarding/offboarding) in line with corporate and local requirements.
• Prepare consolidated monthly/quarterly HR and financial reports and maintain regular structured communication with regional offices and headquarters.
• Ensure consistent implementation of administrative standards, document management systems and operational procedures across all regional offices.
• Monitor legislative changes in labor, tax and financial regulations in your countries and proactively advise management on required adjustments.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all HR and finance queries between regional offices and headquarters. Support local accountants and bureau chiefs of the 4 offices to comply with headquarter finance and HR requirements.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations.

Your profile:

• Higher education in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration or related field
• Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in HR and/or finance coordination, preferably in a multi-country or regional context
• Excellent command of English and Russian (both spoken and written); Azerbaijani or other local languages is an advantage
• Good understanding of generic principles of labor law, taxation and financial regulations (knowledge of Azerbaijani legislation is an advantage)
• Proven analytical, organizational and communication skills
• Willingness and ability to undertake occasional business trips across the region
• Previous experience in media and/or international organizations and familiarity with EU financial and HR compliance standards are considered an advantage

Contractual information:

• Location: Baku, Azerbaijan (with occasional business trips across the covered region, primarily South Caucasus, Central Asia and the Middle East)
• Duration of the contract: 12 month fixed term full-time contract
• Desired start date: Immediate
• Management: Director of Euronews Baku Ltd & Euronews Headquarters (Lyon/Brussels)
